Mikhail Getman

Mikhail Getman received his formal training at the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute — one of Russia’s most distinguished academies of fine art — where he studied from 1970 to 1976 and earned his master’s degree in fine arts.

Since 1989 he has lived and worked in the United States as a freelance artist, devoting himself fully to painting. His canvases — portraits, still lifes, and scenes rendered with meticulous detail and quiet reverence — are held in galleries and private collections throughout the U.S.A. and around the world.
